I am having some problems with a particular MXM363N's document feeder. As it feeds paper through, regardless of job size, it tends to intermittently make a "vibration" noise. I ran this thing a ton in the last few days and it seems to do it more often when running legal and letter-r paper through it. That is really all that they do though. (It's a bank that primarily scans loan documents to their servers.) I ran about 300 pages through it with different amounts of pages to see if larger amounts made the problem more noticeable but didn't notice a big difference. The customer then ran a stack of pages in the 75-100 pages range of mixed original letter and legal sheets. The vibration noise i was hearing was there but it wasn't what they were complaining about. There was a slight squeak noise every so often than was noticeable but not terrible. They insisted that it was much worse the previous day and at other times in the past. It sounded like paper rubbing against a worn separation pad is about the only time i've heard anything like that in my time in this business. The only other thing I noticed is that they were not moving the ADF paper guides all the way tight against the paper. The paper skewed slightly as it was pulled in and once I made sure that the guides were tight i didnt hear the noise. Strange, but that could have been the problem. Anyway, i've tried to describe the problem the best that I could to see if anyone else can come up with answers. I went ahead and disassembled the ADF and lubed every rail, bearing and follower roller I could reach and it seemed to make it better but who knows if it will stop the problem.

Re: MXM363N ADF Noise
I have this same problem. I have even replaced the two drive gears (the big white one that is driven by the belt and the black meshing gear on the top cover) but had no improvement. MFP-TB-521 deals with an actuator noise and MFP-TB-612 would not come up on INDC Site Any more suggestions?Comment
