scan to network folder no longer working with windows 7 64 bit

all my settings are correct firewall is off but gives error ce-00
had been working last time i tried it
is working with konicas but not with sharps
\\ipaddress\scans
user name
password
i think its windows but can't figure out what
any clues would be appreciated

As stated above, make sure that Sharing permissions are open and also on the Security tab, make sure that your user has permissions to the folder too. The user needs Sharing and Security rights. I just generally give the "Everyone" user/group full read/write in the Sharing tab and then control access to the folder using the Security tab permissions.

Lastly, for the user name, try username@domain

For example,

testuser@bogus.local

I had a windows 7 issue similar to yours and it was a setting in the network and sharing center i checked a bubble to turn off file password protect. This has been a while so my directs may be a tad bit off but at least it should point you in the right direction. Good Luck

i am on vacation and can not check
but i think my computer has created its own
domain so my usetr name is probably the culprit
its an hp laptop
and even though its not on a domain
i think my userername is
computername\me
i will test that when i get back to business.
also i had tried that bubble about the password but that wasn't it.

it turned out to be the folder attributes was set for read only, once that was unchecked it worked
