Check for a bad memory chip on the MFP board; the 512mb or 1gb chip. I have seen this a few times. At power up the machine will be completely quite. After a minutes or so the fans will kick on.

Recently had the same thing in a 363 with a data security kit. Turns out the PRGM2 chip was corroded and wouldn't allow it to boot... They had to buy a whole new DSK. The cost of putting that machine in the pool is slowly catching up to them...

I have a similar problem on a mx453n. No image on the screen. ok touchscreen operation. Copy and print ok. I tried MFP but with the client memories ,without success. I expect the LVDS.
