    FO-2080 L4-01

Copier is 4 months old and has 31K copies on it with new drum installed at 25K.

Machine comes ready and runs the motors for a few seconds then pops L4-01 Main Motor Lock Detection.

replaced the Main motor and not a single change same problem. I pulled the entire machine apart drive unit toner cart drum unit and fuser unit all turn perfectly. No problems turning the anything. When activating the main motor Sim 25-01 it comes on spins twice and codes out. I am out of ideas except maybe a PCU board but should I be looking elsewhere?

      Check the toner add assy.
Same POS engine as Sharp's AL.
Do a search for the same thing, but AL series.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

        Re: FO-2080 L4-01

Ill check that this afternoon. I have sold about 300 of these smaller units since the AR151 series back in the day and never had a problem with them until the AR168D total peice of crap there. AR208Ds and newer FO's have been great for my clients until this one little problem lol. As far as Sharp tech support website goes no L4-01's listed at all on any models. Guess when Sharp IDNC fails google is the way to go since they do not put AL's on there.
