I've been working on this machine lately that has been giving me a bit of trouble. The initial call was for noise, so I go check it out, and it sounds like a flat spot on the fuser roller. I come back to the shop grab a new fuser, go back put the fuser in and it doesn't fix the issue. I followed the noise as best as I could to the back of the machine. I opened the machine turned the power back on and listened to the noise again. The best I could narrow down the source of the noise was to the main drive area. I couldn't really go any further because of course I need the power on to hear it and when working in that area you need the power off. If anyone has any ideas I would be most grateful and I don't care what they are because I am stuck and anything helps.

Re: 2700N Noise
I would use sim 6-1 to run the motors one at a time. When you figure what motor is on when you get the noise, you can then see what that motor drives. From there it is a process of isolating different sections. I have even removed gears to separate one part of a drive pack from spinning. Hope this helps. -
