MX_M550N - intermittent image shift.

When making copies, for the most part, the copy's registration and off center image is fine. Intermittently, the images shift towards the rare frame side. Copying onto letter paper and I have never witnessed the problem from memory, but never truly tested for it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Scan control PWB problem. Have had this on 2 or 3 machines in the MXM550 series. You can test it by reseating all of the connectors on the scan board and the problem will go away for a while but will come back. Can use the ARM550 series PWB if you have them.

I have had the same problem on about 10 of these now. replacing the variable resistor on the guide of the document processor has worked everytime for me
