    MX-5111N Developer Spill

    Hello Guys I recently Visited One My Clients that had Bad Copy Quality, Upon Further Investigation I noticed that the Magenta Developer Spilled Out of the Developer Unit, I even Found Some Developer in The Toner Waste Box,Anyone Seen This Before And what are some Possible Solutions?Thanks in Advance.

    See MFP-TB-559. The DV Top Cover has been changed for the above models to prevent toner dusting.
    Along with this change, the DV Top Cover assembly has been added as a service part.

        As mentioned, install the new lids. Also, change out the charge kit. Once contaminated, the drum unit pulls out the DV material. I have seen it drain new DV in a single day. You can also pull the toner feed tubes and check for hardened toner.

            hello,
            we have got in France mx models 4112-5112. I think these are the same machines. it seems that you can use the unit covers from old models mx 3500-4500. if you have a mx 3500, you can check it. In order to have a better mixing toner.

                The charge unit problem isn't just restricted to the 5111 either, we've seen this with a few of the earlier models too. If you find a dev unit with no dev, you'll find it in the waste box! Change the charge unit at the same time as the new dev.
