    ARM620 E7-03

    I've got an E7-03 on an ARM620 (HDD trouble), Sim 62 seems to have vanished for some reason so I can't format the HDD or check operation. I've tried another HDD from one of our machines but still getting the same error and still no Sim 62. Also tried replacing the MFP control PWB. Anyone got any ideas ?

      If your SIMS have vanished, start with a firmware update. As to the MFP board, did you replace the memory chips too?
      You could use an HDD dock to test the drive outside of the machine.

          Only Sim 62 is missing by the look of things. I swapped the MFP control board complete directly from another machine.

              Update: The replacement hard drive I took out of a spare machine was also knackered. D'oh! Unable to try it beforehand because the machine I was robbing it from wasn't operational, but as far as I was aware the HDD was ok . Installed the suspect HDDs in a working machine this morning and got E7-03. Quick trip to the local computer shop for a replacement HDD, job done. Sim 63 also now back for selection. Case closed.
