    [Misc] sharp mx-m450n

    Hi

I have a customer with a sharp mx-m450n copier. The copies and printing is great, on the glass and using the document feeder. But when I scan to the computer the scanned image is not clean. There are alot of spots.

    Thanks for your help.

    Re: sharp mx-m450n

There's a tech tip with related information about this.

It seems that in scanning mode (to E-mail or other networked destinations),
exposure settings tend to boost every little imperfection on the Original,
    especially small singular dots.

If the initial scanning resolution is set to 600X600 dpi and exposure is
slightly increased (in scanning mode only), the dots become much less
    visible on the image.
The file size becomes larger, but in B&W it remains still reasonable.
Cthulhu for president! Why settle for the lesser evil?
