have a sharp ar-m350/imagistics 3510 copier that won't turn on toner motor. tried 2 developer units, pcu board, new toner, printer mfp board, toner motor. tested customers mfp board in my copier and it adds toner fine. the toner motor will run in sim10 to turn motor on. i also checked it with meter to see if the voltage is there, it is in test mode but not in regular copy mode. ran sim25-1 to ck reference # and i can see it change if i add toner or make 20 copies, it just never turns on the toner motor. thanks for any help!!!

Re: sharp ar-m350 won't add toner
check the toner reference voltage in secret SIM mode, 80-2 I think, and change it to 128 or below if it is higher than that. I had one set itself to 188 and would never add toner. It keeps creeping up, I don't know why, so I check it on every call. It is also an Imagistics and we have stopped putting them in the field. -

Crossing my fingers that this might solve my problem also.Comment

Re: sharp ar-m350 won't add toner
secret sim mode is # * CA # and sim80 will let you change the toner reference voltage. The higher the voltage the lower the toner/developer mix, so less toner. I sometimes use this to lower toner consumption in dirty environments.Comment
