MX 5111n Color Image Issues (Alignment)

We have a mx5111n the Magenta and the Black are aligned with each other on the copy and the Cyan ANd Yellow are aligned with each other but the two pairs are one quarter of and inch apart right and left and 1 32nd of an inch apart up and down.

This happens on color only black and white are fine both print and copy!

We have tried removed transfer belt unit - checked
all four Dv units - checked
and all four drum units - checked

tried to do copy calibration but it fails because they are offset
we pulled the board and reset all memory and battery and hdd still no change

any help would be appreciated thanks (Photo Attached)MX-5001N_20121206_160231.pdf

Re: MX 5111n Color Image Issues (Alignment)

    Models:
MX-2310U/MX-2610N/MX-3110N/MX-3610NThis is the text from a Sharp bulletin:

    MX-4110N/MX-4111N/MX-5110N/MX-5111N
    Priority:
    Medium
    Date:
    March 2012
    Subject:
    Data_SUB_K_F_1ST_ 10 Error

    Symptom:
    Data_SUB_K_F_1ST_ 10 error when running Simulation 50-22.

    Solution:
If this error occurs when running Simulation 50-22, use the below steps to recover.1. In Simulation 50-20 enter default values (200) for A through I, then press Execute.2. Then run Simulation 50-22 and adjust each screw for each color as directed by the Simulationresults. When turning the screws be sure to use clicks not turns. If problems continue replace the laser unit.

Known issue in previous models presenting itself as a broken main drive gear on the primary transfer belt. Wouldn't be surprised if it was the same symptom on this one as well... Remove the belt and remove the main drive gear on the back and inspect it, it's not typically visible from the front or while still loaded on the belt. The shaft that turns the gear will crack the frame and slip out from time to time. I had it happen on a 2700, black was fine but colours were wacky. The belt was brand new with less than 5k on it as well, so even new belts aren't exempt from the issue.

Try running TC 50-20 and see if you can bring it closer to alignment, if so, then run TC 50-22.

SIM 50-22 should be run as already suggested. At the bottom of the screen, it will say something like "ALL PHASE" or something similar. The all phase screw adjustments must be done first. This model has an adjustment screw for black; the previous machines did not. Once the "ALL PHASE" is adjusted, then the color screws can be adjusted. SIM 64-5 is a good print out to check alignments. On this model, we have had a few bad LSU units.

Black is the key to alignment. If black is off, everything will be off.
