I was just called to fix a Sharp ARM 550 and I discovered that the machine seems to booth up but there is no display. Could someone remind me as to where i can find the light control for the display or the fuse for this control panel light. I do not have a manual. Also I know that on some of the sharp models the fuse would be on the DC board. But I have checked most of the fuse on the DC board and they seems to be correct. The person said that the machine worked good until last Monday. Please help.

I've had a couple of calls recently regarding the same thing. In these instances the customers had shut off the right side op panel power switch thinking it was the main power. That may be a good place to start...Cthulhu for president! Why settle for the lesser evil? -

Display contrast is found under System settings; default settings; display contrast. That said if display is working at all you should be able to see a faint image if its just the back light thats out. Other wise it could be display LCD unit itself.Comment
