MX-3500N fonts will download, but print's rubbish!

    Hi,
I recently downloaded fonts (client-specific) to an MX-3500n using both the web browser hidden service page, and a DOS command shell, all fonts (pcl) and macros uploaded succesfully, but when printing them out, both from application and from internal fonts list, they are garbled/scrambled/pixelated.. etc. Same happens with other models in the same range.
If I load just one font, it prints fine until the machine is switched off. Then it's g/s/p..etc. Any ideas on how to load them so that they are stable? Really frustrating!

Try to access this page and see if it helps with your problem!

    Solution :
    • To access the Service web pages to do operations such as Device Cloning enter in the IP address of the machine followed by /service_login.html
      xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/service_login.html

The password will be service all lowercase.
    Cause :
    • How to access the hiden web pages for device cloning, font / form download, and document filing backup.

    Good Luck!

      Service Webpage

Hi, I used the hidden service webpage to download the fonts, but they still print out all garbled.

Sharp like many models come with a build in Post Script and for this reason PCL is a poor driver if you need some special fonts. To setup the PS you need a key from Sharp website and so far I know is not for free. Once you have the PS key under admin enter Product key and you're in business. Same on the Fiery if is attached.
