Try the WIN 7 GDI driver from IDNC.

I have tried the GDI Win 7 but when it installs and it gets to the part where it shows you where its it placing the files and the status bar it does a weird thing that clusters all of the files and then freezes on all win 8 that i tried i even tried loading the driver manually after extracting the exe but it still refuses and says there was problem installing the driver properly

Windows 8 has only just been released, so don't expect drivers any time soon. You can try Windows 7 drivers, but there is no guarantee that they will work, if you do try them make sure you are installing the correct bit-version; 32-bit or 64-bit.

Why not upgrade to Windows 7?

Are you installing the driver with the USB/printer connected? If so, disconnect and load the driver and connect as LPT1. Once it's loaded, connect USB and power on. This has worked on previous versions of Windows, not sure about WIN 8.

Had the same issue with a M260 and we ended up downloading the SPLC driver for it. Try this.
