MX 5111n Color Disabled? No Reason Why!

Alright This will be a long post post likely.... here it goes I apologize in advance.

First Trip - We have a Sharp MX-5111n that has dumped/pulled its black developer (Could not find the cause we just refilled the DV and checked everything and it work since then)

Second Trip - Color was Misaligned Horribly and the Bulletin below help fix that issue
    Models:

MX-2310U/MX-2610N/MX-3110N/MX-3610NThis is the text from a Sharp bulletin:

    MX-4110N/MX-4111N/MX-5110N/MX-5111N

    Priority:

    Medium

    Date:

    March 2012

    Subject:

    Data_SUB_K_F_1ST_ 10 Error

    Symptom:
    Data_SUB_K_F_1ST_ 10 error when running Simulation 50-22.

    Solution:
If this error occurs when running Simulation 50-22, use the below steps to recover.1. In Simulation 50-20 enter default values (200) for A through I, then press Execute.2. Then run Simulation 50-22 and adjust each screw for each color as directed by the Simulationresults. When turning the screws be sure to use clicks not turns. If problems continue replace the laser unit.

    Third Trip
    - We had a a F2-43 Code on the yellow DV Unit and the toner output reading on the yellow dv where as low as 70-82 while the others where at 128-130 so we ordered a sensor and replaced it and now the error is gone...but also so the customer could still print we disabled the color for print and copy and then re enabled them after the sensor replacement and now when we try and make a copy or print color it only prints black and white and basically Ignores that it has Color Anything there are 100-75% color toner in them and it reads 25-0% and we have done a firmware upgrade and now the Black is reading 25-0% sometimes also on our 22-6 report it says (In bold is the weird part)

    Drum Ctrg K: 28147 Turn:109803 Day:36 Life: 18% Remain: 0150
    Drum Ctrg C: 6842 Turn:81674 Day:485 Life: 9% Remain: ---
    Drum Ctrg M: 6842 Turn:81674 Day:485 Life: 9% Remain: ---
    Drum Ctrg Y: 6842 Turn:81674 Day:485 Life: 9% Remain: ---
And Developer States the Same Thing Expect now after upgrade all dv counts where cleared without us doing it?

So i reviewed the site and found some of the similar issues of spiking etc i just wanted to see if anyone of you think we should replace the dv units dv, drums etc. appreciate your help in advance

DV pull: when this happens I always replace the charge unit as well as the DV material. Bad drum ground due to toner dusting is rampant on this model. Make sure you have the new style, long filtered DV units.

Color alignment:try SIM 61-4 and manually calibrate the colors. It takes a bit more patience, but overall it does a more accurate job. That code simply means it is out of the scope of auto adjust. You may also be looking at a bad LSU after 2 attempts.

F2-4x and 6x codes: not only do the toner carts stick, but the toner itself gets packed in the delivery tube above the DV unit. I remove and clean the toner feed tubes when I get an F2-4x code.

No color: now that's a good one. You could try a factory reset, but be warned, you will lose ALL settings in the machine. You could also clone a new 5111 and import that file to the problem machine.

Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!

Where is the factory reset? If you mean the one in the setting menu we tried that and no such luck still the same

Login as admin, Security Settings, then Initialize Private Data/Data in Machine. This will take about an hour but will be "out of box" when finished. It even prints out a confirmation when done.

I have had some real mind benders with this model. I had one that changed itself to an Icelandic language interface because it didn't like Device Account mode.
You ain't gonna find that one in the manual!

Is it only doing it on printing and not copying? I saw the MA counters were close to being on and was wondering if the light was on and it was causing it to print in only B&W. I know when the Total ALL MA counters come on they restrict printing anything out unless you change the soft switch to let it print when the light comes on or disable SNMP printing in the driver.

Have you checked the cam of the IT belt? Perhaps it is making color but the cam is stuck in black mode. You can test the cam with SIM 6-3.
Have you tried a panic stop? Open a door when running something color. Carefully remove the IT belt and check the belt and drums for color.
What happens when you print 64-5? Do you get 2 monochrome printouts?
It is odd that there is no error code.

It has basically disabled color -button unclickable- you cant even tell it to copy color and print comes out as b&w even if sent color... it wont to anything col I r related calibration ...printouts ...nothing colir related in the simulation codes? Its very strange.

Sounds like user control is turned on and has colored blocked. Try hitting the logout key and see if it ask for user name and or password
