    SHARP MX-2700N all background streaks of Cyan, then disappears for weeks, then a day

    or two of printing all cyan background again....

    Hi!

    Prints heavy dose of cyan across entire paper then "self-corrects" before I can ever "see" it in action. Primary transfer belt, cyan Drum and Dev, and other drums have all been replaced. There are no voids across page (prints fully Cyan) so almost appears as a coded print problem, but happens across multiple comps sending print jobs.

    All coronas are clean and I can see no obvious seal failures.

    This seems to be a function of certain sharp color machines (this intermittant failure).

    Any ideas would be appreciated!

          Calibrated two months ago, now problem is back. Will calibrate again and hope to fix. It almost seems like they are running a certain report on a regular basis that destroys the machines brain....

            Actually, just started with the 67-17 (a sim not listed in the manual btw) cured the problem without the calibration.

            Thanks for the Help!

              But of course and update, it solves the problem but blanks ALL of the printer info, lol so it broke the scanning to the 40 listed users. Thankfully their IT runs a special network so it is their print. Next time might just have to run the calibrations instead.

                F2-65 code is now being thrown and I have seen now several threads relating to the Cyan being the constant culprit. Has anyone had a definitive fix for this problem as yet? It is just filling the whole document with blue background and pumping toner almost straight into the waste toner bin. Have replaced toner supply pipe,
                DV chemicals, the entire DV unit, Drum did printer memory clears and ect ect ad nauseum.

                When doing a 25-1 (toner sensor test) results are:
                TCD_D 143 and TCV_C 91. (CYAN)
                Black = 101 116
                Mag =110 139
                Yel = 111 152

                This is listed as a test of the toner sensor (hence replacing the DV unit) but even with new unit sensor is way out of specs.

                Don't see any technical bulletins on IDN sharp site ect. There must be a definitive solution I would hope.

                Thanks for reading!

                    Yes. Cyan drum unit entirely replaced. No help.

                      Have you tried replacing the unit that connects the charge corona to the hv board. It can cause this problem took me a will to figure out. Its a plastic housing with metal connections inside.
