L3-00 on Sharp MX-450

Scanner coded L3-00 and has a humming sound on the right shaft. It sounds like the motor is turned on after the scanning unit has parked and returned to its original position.

Anyone run into this one before?

Scanner home position error. Check and clean your scanner rails and the home position sensor (have had them come loose and block the scanner from moving). If you have a humming sound then I would look for something blocking the scanner from moving properly. Check the ribbon cable that connects to the scanner, have had this prevent the scanner from going to the home position.
