    Sharp MX-2300N pulling cyan developer

Hi all I have a Sharp MX-2300 that I replaced main drive unit and transfer belt. A couple of weeks later got a call about cq. I discovered that most of the developer was sucked out of the cyan dv unit. I replaced dv unit and drum ,same problem. Brought copier back into shop replaced with new developer ran calibrations and same problem. Once again only cyan.

Dear there is a problem in M. C Unit(drum charger). First cleaned that charger if problem not solved then replace the charger.

As I said I replaced the drum unit. Also I put the origional in anothe copier and it works fine. I agree the problem is with the HV but I don't think it is comming from the drum unit.

Current counters? Did you replace just the drum or the charge grid? Maybe even the whole unit?

The more info we can get the better we're able to assist you.

When was the last time it was calibrated? Was it calibrated after replacing the drum and dev units?

I replaced the whole drum unit with charge grid and ran calibrations. The first time that I did this I simply swapped units out of another copier and did not calibrate. The second time I used brand new developer and ran calibrations. It acts like a charger problem but I think that i have ruled out coronas.

Make sure the gap between your drum and dev unit is correct, the LSU shutter assembly can cause an uneven gap if it doesn't sit correctly causing dev to pull - as well as an uneven doc blade on the dev unit

As a test, reseat the LSU shutter assembly, or swap with another color (all 4 shutter units are the same).
Make sure the shutter assembly moves correctly by running the shutter solenoid in sim 6 LSU_SS with the front door switch tripped.

There could also be an incorrect charge on the drum. Check the bias levels in sim 8 for any majour differences compared with the sticker on the MC HVT unit. Alternatively, change the MC HVT board with another one. MX2300 & MX2700 have the same board if you have one on hand. Part number is RDENU0044FCZZ.
