    [Misc] Sharp AR-M257

I've got a copy issue with this machine. When copying it has a gritty feeling to the copies coming out. I have changed the DV Unit, the DV twice, I recently changed the Fuser and Drum Units respectfully and still am having the same issue. I don't have any error codes so I'm not sure if it is a board issue at this point. I have never had an issue like this where I couldn't nail down a cause. Any suggestions?

Check the mylar just under the drum unit for damage. If you have changed tray 1 rollers recently also check to make sure the cover plate above the rollers has been secured properly. Have seen both of these conditions cause what you are talking about.

    Good luck.

The only thing I can think is I have had some of the 237/277 series wires carring the high volt to the drum unit get dirty and do some weird stuff. Seems like you have to pull motor and drive to get to it from rear. had one that I couldnt just blow out and had to disassemble. good luck.dwr.

If the grit you are feeling is developer then try changing the micro charge unit (AR-310MC). Or, You did not say if the developer unit was brand new or not. If its not new, then change the developer seal ( PSEL-0132QSZZ )
