    Sharpdesk with no email option

I have installed Sharpdesk on a Windows 7 32bit PC and at the bottom, there is no email icon to email scanned images from within Sharpdesk. I installed the same Sharpdesk on 2 XP machines and the email icon is there. Has anyone seen this before? Is it a conflict or maybe a limitation?

    Thanks for any help.

I had this same problem about a year ago. Go into control panel, internet options, programs tab and make sure the outlook (or whatever mail client they are using) is selected as the default program. Then uninstall Sharpdesk and Reinstall. Worked for me. Good luck!!

If it can be helped, skip Sharpdesk altogether. It's just a shell terminal for processes the copier is already capable of - aside from the OCR.

Re: Sharpdesk with no email option

Going to the Internet options and selecting default email worked.

I have tried to tell the owners and salesperson to stop pushing it several times, without any luck. By the time I get to client's site the clients are all excited about Sharpdesk.

You know how it is. They bitch that the install takes a while, but they continue to push it.
