Does anyone have the soft switches to lower the fax transmission on a MXB401 with MX-FXX3 option. They are periodically getting failed faxes with NG020023. They do have comcast phones and may need to slow down transmission.

I have found that even lowering the transmission will not fix it. the only good way is for it to be on a dedicated analog phone line. make sure to use the cord that came with it, it will only have two connection on it a normal one has 4. maybe that will help. -

Make sure you have the two line phone cord that comes with the fax kit; the four line ones cause problems. Also, do not run fax line through the power filter; wall to machine. Analog is the best way to go, but most places are digital, or going there, and that can be problematic. As to the soft switches:
27-4-5 set to 11. This turns off V.34
29-1-2 set to 01. Changes coding to MMR
