CE-00 Error on MX-5100 when using the Color Scan feature.

    [Error Code] CE-00 Error on MX-5100 when using the Color Scan feature.

    I've not yet seen the machine, but a sales rep in my office has informed me of an MX-5100 of one of our customers which gives a CE-00 error every time they scan to a network folder using color. B/W works fine, and the files are under the 25Mb allowed over the network.

    Anybody have any ideas or seen this before? If you need more information I'll attempt to get it for you.

    Colour files easily boost the file size, it wouldn't be unreasonable to think it's going over the 25mb limit.

    Are you using Sharpdesk?

    Have you tried scanning on a lower resolution?

    What operating system? Vista firewall hates everything and was put there by Microsoft simply to piss off users. Windows 7 firewall and Live Essentials also have problems playing well with Sharpdesk, try to avoid it if you can.

      I tested the filesize by scanning to a thumb drive. I am not using Sharpdesk. The OS is Windows 7, but the firewall is turned off. I am unsure if they scanned using a different resolution.

        Is the network folder being hosted through a server or direct path to the computer?

          I'm not sure. I would assume direct to workstation considering it is a Windows 7 machine and not a server OS.

            Doing a follow-up,

            We found that the files will send if they are under 1 Mb. If they exceed that size they will not send. The customer said this started happening only after he switched to an Office 365 Virtual Server. Does anyone know a workaround?
