[Misc] Staple issue MX-4501

I have an MX-4501 with a fiery on it that will not staple any print jobs from the customers desktops.It has an inner finisher installed and the staple mode works fine in regular copy mode using the ADF. I have tried reloading the firmware and no luck. It is really strange because you can select the staple function in the printer preferences dialogue box when setting up the print preferences but the copier does not staple or even try to do so...it just ejects the copies into the output try like a normal copy job

I'd have to concur with Igi. Reinstall driver, even if it's correct it could be corrupt.

a sincere "Thank You' to both of you- igi and Akitu for your prompt and informative replies.
I will try your informative suggestions and shall keep you updated as to my success or failure.
