Thanks but I'm not affiliated with a Sharp dealer, just an IT guy for a company with a couple of Shap printer/Fax machines.
There should have been a copy of Sharpdesk that came with your copier, however at this point it would be outdated and incompatible with Windows 7. Sharpdesk 3.3 was the compatibility update to Win7. Else it can be downloaded from Sharp's FTP website (which, as a non-tech, you may not have access to).
Best bet would be to call your local Sharp dealer and see if they may be able to assist you.
Cthulhu for president! Why settle for the lesser evil?

K. Ill try that (the dealer).. That's probably where the vers they're using on their older machines came from. I just thought it woudl be something you could download from their website.

FWIW, what is Sharp's FTP site?
Unfortunately not. I just spent the better part of a half hour looking for a customer. Only place I could find it was on the ftp site.
Without the credentials, there's no harm in giving it out I suppose.
Try this link. Used to be version 3.2 not sure what version is there now. You will need a valid serial number to use this software should be with your copier paperwork.
For my own information and depending on the answer, maybe to help out jw4444, will the AR-M237 scan without Sharpdesk? Can you scan to a file or to e-mail without using Sharpdesk on this model or series? I asked this question awhile back but wasn't real sure if I understood the answer correctly.
SharpDesk requires a licence to install or upgrade. If you do not have you license (per client) you cannot install. It is not required to scan. Email and ftp work with most models that support scanning.
SharpDesk is a licensed software that comes (1) per unit. (ONE license per unit). More licenses can always be purchased. It is a scan to desktop solution. Comes in handy for scanning color docs...also has a very limited OCR (optical character resolution) feature and a Composer feature. OCR feature takes a document and converts it into an editable document. Kind of a clunky Adobe knockoff...works fine with just text...but ANY pics or lines confuse things.
The product brochure says for scanning, you'll need the AR-NS2 Network Scanning Kit (optional), so if you were scanning before I'm guessing you've already got that installed.
SMB desktop scan requires the Sharpdesk software, but scan to FTP or email does not. I have a sneaking suspicion that scan to email might be a little touchy as well....with the age of the machine, I'm not sure it supports SSL.
