Scan Images shifting on MX-4101N

Hello,

On a customer's MX-4101N occasionally the image of scanned sheets fed through the top document feeder will shift downwards and to the right slightly. It also looks as if there is a faint line generated across the wide top margin. I've tried cleaning the glass, but even when I go on site I cannot generate the issue. Is there a calibration simulation or a setting to turn down the scanner sensitivity? Does anyone have any other suggestions?

There is an adjustment in sim 50 but since this is random you might want to start with a ROM upgrade and see what happens. Also check to make sure they are closing the original guides all of the way.

Does this happen only on 1 sided, or 2 sided? Have had scan PWB issues with shifting images randomly on 2 sided, would still start with the ROM update as mentioned.

I had this problem with printing. Tried all the bulletins. Replacing main drive unit worked.
