MX-5001 document feeder jams only on 11 x 8 1/2

    MX-5001 document feeder jams only on 11 x 8 1/2

    I worked on a MX-5001 today that jams with 8 1/2x 11 portrait. The secondary feed rollers right before the original turns are not coming on. This problem only happens with 11 inch paper, all other sizes feed fine including 11x17. When in simulation mode all motors can be turned on. Has anybody come across this problem?.

      Turn off misfeed detection in TC 7; if it still jams, you have a mechanical problem, if it passes paper, you have a sensor or timing trouble.
