I use a 16GB USB flash drive, which seems to work fine.

The older MXM350/450s would have a hard limit of 2GB capacity on any flash drive being used for f/w updates (prior to another f/w update it was restricted to 1GB) in FAT16 format.

New machines have no such capacities to my knowledge and will read any drive formatted in FAT32.

Have had some issues with USB larger than 2GB. You just have to try them out to see if they will work. What I found interesting was I would have a USB drive work on one copier but not on another in the same series of machines! Very annoying. That's why I have several with me at all times.

          Good luck.

Almost forgot. If you're having a problem seeing the sfu file in a folder on your USB drive try moving the file to the root directory. Have come across this problem several times.
