    Sharp AR m237 setting up scanner

    Hi to All, I am going out to setup a scanner on this machine and not sure is it has web interface. can anyone help? i just picked this customer up and things are a bit tight out here so i told them i would. I am fairly up to date on networks and such. Thanks in advance.

    As long as it is on the network you can access web interface via the copier's IP address.

      is it obvious where the IP is, are the setting straight forward?

        IP settings are somewhat hidden on this series. Newer models have "Network settings" right in the custom settings menu... These ones however, need to be accessed through "Printer settings" followed by "Interface settings".

        The settings are decently labeled in the machine and not terribly hidden. If I recall correctly (it's been a while since I was on the web interface for a 237), the network settings should be labeled as such. This copier does not and can not support SSL, so that rules out a fair chunk of ISPs after they've started blocking public access port 25 mail servers. Much to my dismay I've found Sharpdesk to be a superior option to the web interface settings when dealing with the ARM machines - not to say it can't be done...
