    Sharp MX 2300 lines

MX2300 yellow & mag lines.pdf When printing from computer......straight lines in yellow and magenta interrmittantly appear. Lines are in the crossfeed direction.

Sure it's crossfeed? Looks like feed to me, soit. Try switching black and yellow drums, if lines become black, its your yellow drum...magenta looks like dirt/ dust on mirror, but you say its only printing, not copying?

Looks like charge coronas to me. P/N CHLDZ1647DS51 If Charge unit is taken out look at grid. It will most likely have a build up on it. It will be discolored and not shiny like a new unit. I would replace all four.

Yes, sure that it's in the crossfeed direction. Swapping out drum units ---- good tip. Will do that & see what happens. Since lines were in crossfeed direction....was thinking xfer belt unit but I'll check the drums & charge assy's. Thanks Dave & Kris for responding. Appreciated.

could be a print driver issue if its only when printing. i had a customer using publisher and when the would print (they were printing a school year book) it would produce random lines through the pictures (no pattern or complete lines) change print drivers and the problem went away.
