sharp mx-700u and mx-nsx1

I have a Mx-700u with network card installed and printed activated.

For some the print option is installed. I'm guessing that the Mx-nbx1 was previouly installed. But for some reason scan isn't activated. If I purchase the mx -nsx1 will the product key work for that? Or is the machine tied to the code with I'm guessing the previously purchased Mx-nbx1 (print card option)

The print and scan options on this model are 2 separate purchases. The product key for the MXNSX1 will enable scan if the print controller option is enabled.
