    Sharp MX-M503N Global Address Search

Hi all, my question is about Global Search. After locating an email address is there a way to save the address to the address book? Also can you add a shortcut on the display to locate Global Search?

In an unrelated matter I had a Sharp MX-2700 that would not scan to folder when using windows 7. After exhausting other possible solutions, I tried updating firmware.
    It solved the problem.

Thanks in advance for everyone's effort and support.

The simplest way to add the address to the address book is really just manually entering the address into the book. There's no doubt that it would be entered. It would probably take the same or less time than digging through the global search, especially if you had a model with the optional keyboard now.

The reason why your 2700 would not scan SMB to windows 7 is because with the release of 7 the standard scanning protocol moved from SMB 1.0 to SMB 2.0, the firmware updates are tied into the fix. The same issue is now occurring with windows 8 and their move to SMB 3.0. Experimental firmware is in use testing this out, seems to be working so far. It also applies to windows server 2012, which follows the same protocol change. Newer machines are likely to have a proper firmware update for it, older machines may not be properly supported to 3.0 without special firmware.
Cthulhu for president! Why settle for the lesser evil?
