    2700n Rebooting then freezing

I have a customer that was unplugging the machine in order to turn it off or restart it. Now it will reboot at random times and then get stuck on the please wait pop up on screen. It freezes up total to where the control panel power button doesn't work. Could this be the hard drive?? or the Control PWB board?? Or Both..

    thanks

Very likely a hard drive error, similarly to how unplugging a computer to shut it off will inevitably kill the hard drive, it will do the exact same to a copier.

That was my first guess as well. Coworker also thinks it could be the outlet dropping power. Like something else is pulling a lot of power from that outlet causing it to reboot, fridge or something.

Check the voltage coming from the outlet. I think you'll find there's nothing wrong with it. Most of the time when there's a power pull that will interfere with a machine you'll likely get some funky error codes as opposed to straight power cycles, but it all depends on how much power is being pulled/dropped.
