I have a new account that would like to buy some Sharp MFP's from us. However, Sharp's do not support printing IPDS format from AS400 systems. I am just wondering if anyone has run into this and what solution I could be looking at. I have purchased a Linkcomm III S. Has anyone ever used one of these for converting the IPDS print data to PCL or PS data? Sharp claims it will work but the customers IT department is wanting some thing solid to go off of, and I know nothing about AS400 or these Linkcomm print servers. Any information anyone can give is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

We have 2 accounts with an AS400 working with the Sharps. Check the bulletin library as there are numerous tip to get the AS400 to work. Once the myriad of setups was complete, we have had very few issues.
These are set up using PJL commands for the most part and can be daunting if you don't know what you are doing. Read the bulletins carefully!!!
