Not sure what this "My Folder" is, can you not just add the shared folder path to the address book and bypass any Sharp related products? Sharpdesk is terrible.

I also am not familiar with "My Folder". If it is "My Sharp on the MFP", it is an OSA application and needs the MX-AMX2 option to function.
I also agree that Sharpdesk is a dog and scan to desktop or network folder is the only way to go.

sounds like something wrong with the app itself. not able to pull up next screen or complete function. It looks like the only help is from Sharp as the dealer needs to be an Sharp authorized intergrator. No info on Sharp service website, only found info on Sharp sales site. Sharp AIP Applications Suite.

Oh OK..AIP apps. You still need the AMX2 option. Of the models listed on the brochure, I think only the 4111/5111 come standard with this options. All other models would have to be added and have product keys.

Is this a new install of MyFolder that never worked or is it an existing install that just started getting this error?

Do they have another Sharp copier there that runs this OSA app without problem?

If it is a new install that they haven't gotten to work, I would have them try on another computer (there are restrictions on the computer that it will run on - no server with Exchange, SharePoint, or WSUS running).

It could also be a firewall issue on the computer side and/or a port issue on the copier.

Hard to know without more info.
