L4-12 sharp mxc 310

im getting error code L4-12 on a sharp mxc 310. Code relates to secondary transfer unit problem. Both the primary and secondary transfer units have recently been changed. Any ideas guys? thanks

Check that you don't have a problem with the fuser unit or the fuser drive, a fuser that stalls when it gets hot can cause this.

Clean the front resist sensor and do the calibrations with the jig.

If this does not fix the problem then replace the resist sensor unit.

There was a firmware update (v4 I believe) that aided in preventing L4-12 codes by increasing fault tolerance. Update your firmware!

Also there is a new clutch for the drive unit. Check bulletins.
