    [Jamming] MX-M264N

Friends i have one mx-m264n it working fine but in the time of making multiple copy or print when paper empty from 1st drawer after putting fresh paper on to it and close the drawer machine shoes a error massage -1stTray is ready to open. And its not detecting paper on tray. Then i have to power off the machine and power on it again to detect the paper on it. Any idea would appreciated..

So if I'm understanding correctly, you do print jobs until the tray runs out of paper, load fresh paper, and the machine does not recognize the new paper?

There are a cluster of sensors towards the back of the tray, C1PED detects paper empty condition, C1LUD is upper limit detection. Ensure those sensors are functioning properly. C1SS is tray detection sensor, if this is not being tripped machine will think tray is perpetually open.

Review your sensor locations in your manual, if you do not have one, our friendly neighbourhood manual vendor would be happy to supply you with a copy of it.

Firmware update would be my next suggestion if all sensors are working in sim. Paper jammed in machine behind the tray will also cause similar symptoms.

I have had some older versions of this machine do something like this. What it would turn out to be is a switch that detects the tray closed. In the parts guide it is section 10 item 22. Looking at it in the parts guide it looks exactly the same as the older ones so I would bet on this being your problem. Good luck Sam.

Does the tray lift motor lift after installing tray? If not it could be the tray detect sensor. QSW-B0017QSZZ
