Sharp AR M237 Scan to folder

Hi and Marry Xmas to all. I have a sharp ar m237 and it was working fine Scanning to Email and all of a sudden it stopped. I tried everything i could think of, check incoming and outgoing and pass word, all good. Not great on sharp, but i know mita and ricoh, Not sure what could have happened. their using Att for mail and I called them, he said log in to their account and go to Yahoo and log in, which is odd to begin with. So im thinking just scan to folder, can anyone help.
    Thanks.

It looks like your customer has a yahoo email account(since att said to login to yahoo) yahoo email is not supported as yahoo uses TLS for security. Sharp supports SSL. Also I think the m237 can't scan to network folder , unless you use sharpdesk or the network scanner tool .

    Models:
    All Current MFPs

    Priority:
    Medium

    Date:
    May 2012

    Subject:
Cannot Scan to Yahoo Ymail Account

    Symptom:
Will not scan and getting error message on MFP panel.

    Cause:
Unsupported protocol in use by Yahoo.

Sharp MFPs do not currently support the TLS protocol for SMTP. Yahoo mail or Ymail uses

TLS port 465 therefore our MFP will not function for scanning using a yahoo mail server.

Thanks Faxman, they must have just changed it to yahoo in the near past and that explains why i cant get a connection. I would like to up grade them anyway, so its time to do this or have them change there email account. lets see which would be the best!!
      Thanks

I just set one of these up to scan to folder with 4 Macs so it is possible. Had to use the IP address as it wouldn't recognize the computer name in the address.

        Good luck.

Got to love when client IT people are on the ball and don't rely upon DHCP to do their work for them!!!
