First saw this machine for "finisher front door open". Switch was good ...had Hy-tec repair finisher main board. Finisher is MX-FN9. Has hole punch unit. After PWB replacement, machine booted up fine and ran...YAY I'm out the door. Calls back with intermittent F!-34 (finisher holepunch unit error)...Remove finisher and hole punch unit....check hole punch unit for obvious problems, cycle everything in it, re-home everything in it, carefully reassemble all...machine boots up and runs fine...YAY I beat feet again...Call back this afternoon F1-34. ANY ideas here?

Dear John, ....you're 'F'd, I left you for another (sorry, I couldn't resist).
Remove the hole punch and see if the trouble shows up again - there have been problems with this option.
There have been updates to firmware to correct some problems with the finishers -- make sure you're up to date for all hardware."You can't trust your eyes, if your mind is out of focus" --

I have also had problems with these punch units.
I pulled one down and blew out the sensors with canned air and have had no more issues with that one unit.
I was getting a jam code FPNCHJ, which is a problem with the home position sensor.Comment

We have had issues with these and had to replace the wiring harnesse for the punt unit. They are stretched really tight.Comment
