    MXC 250-300

Just wondering if anyone has these out in the field and if they are as much of a disaster as I think they will be. We just got some in and are having a first look at them. So far, not impressed. I still haven't figured out for sure how to adjust the black skew, or the color for that matter.
I know I should be ashamed of myself. Strangely though, I am not.

From our very reliable source, they're a lovable machine all around. I'm excited to have my 2 show up soon!

From what I've seen so far, I'd be glad to send you all of them that I have.

Seriously, does anyone know how to adjust the black skew. The adjustment screws the service manual says to adjust don't exist. I have one out of the box that is out of adjustment and I'm kind of stuck till I figure out how to do it.

Looking at the manual, it looks as though they've moved the screw from the front of the machine to underneath? That's a definite change that wouldn't be expected by anyone who has worked on Sharps before.

I don't have one in front of me, yet, so I can't confirm as to its location.

What the manual says is to remove the waste toner and turn the four adjustment screws the same amount in the same direction. Problem is, there are no screws behind the waste toner and only the three color screws underneath the machine.

I may have glossed over it, but I went back to double check, my manual is saying nothing about removing waste toner bottles? Though it does say to remove the paper tray.

Reading the 300W manual, I'm not sure if the 250F has its own manual, but from what I can see of my own it does not?

I asked this question and was told to adj the color to the black?? Doesnt make any sense to me. I had to adj the color on my first one. and it was hard to figure out at first. The adj screws are the ones coming up from the bottom.

One place I was looking in the service manual said to adjust all 4 to adjust black skew, of course there are only 3. Still trying to figure it out. Perhaps some of the things on this machine could have been a bit better thought out.

Adjustment 5-B on page 5-16 of the service manual says in step 5 to adjust all four screws for black skew. So I'm still confused.

I am looking at our first one also. The install guide doesn't mention 25-2 but there is a 25-2 listed in simulations. Like you I am not impressed yet.

Yeah it's going to take some adjustment not doing 25-02 out if the box. Says only after developer change.
