mx 503 tray 2

I have a sharp mx503 that shows no paper in tray 2.I took tray one out and the paper does lift up.i replaced ped sensor.i reset the paper feed.i even looked at tc 30-2 for the sensor in the tray and they do change state.i do have a service manual.wondering if anybody have seen this.tray 1,3,and 4 all work fine.i even took the paper feed unit apart to see if something was broken or not making contact...didn't see anything out of the ordinary.thanks for any imput.called sharp...no help.i do have a ticket opened with sharp.thanks again

I had an MXM363N do this with trays 1 and 2 earlier last year, wound up being the paper size detect pwb.

Have had this happen several times on the MXM453 machines and agree with Akitu about the pwb.

just wanted reply.i replaced the pwb first,didnt fix my problem.I replaced the paper feed unit and now it shows it has paper on the display.thanks for the response.had two mx 503 that did this.
