    Sharp MX 2610

    Can anyone help. I need to reset the admin password on a MX2610.An old IT guy changed it and we dont know what it is.Tried all the usual default ones but no good. The copier is just standard with NO DSK or anything.

      You have to flip one of the dip switches on the MFP board. There are other posts on CTN relaying the exact info you're seeking. Try the search feature and tell us how you made out.

          i found it....theres 2 dip switces to the left of the mfp board half way down( not the ones near usb used for firmware etc )

          Its the right hand side one. Switch copier off move right dip switch down,switch on and it boots to sim 24,choose data initialize the admin password reset. switch off , move dip switch back up and power on.

          Done
