    Mx2310 A3 internal tray problem

2310u with a standard internal tray.

A3 is curling over as it comes out on to the exit tray and the trail edge is not always moving away from the white exit rollers. This happens on multiple copies a3 only. The leading edge hits the tray and curls over.

I removed the the exit actuator and the paper full sensor with no effect. Fresh paper is used and the exit section rollers are cleaned

wouldnt be suprised if this is a well known issue

    any ideas what it is??

Without an internal finisher, there should be a large wishbone shaped arm that hangs at exit to force the paper flat into the tray.

The wish bone actuator is on and still curling the paper over. I removed the exit actuator and still having the same problem

So you say your paper is curling when exiting the tray, or when passing the fuser and exiting into the center tray?

If the former, take a look at your tray lift motor to make sure it's lifting the paper completely. If the latter - have you done a panic stop to determine what the paper looks like throughout the print process?

bulletin is attached. settings are for U.S. have you flipped the paper over in the tray ? have you tried different brand of A3 paper ? paper may have to much (natural) curl in it . Or paper may to thin or not stiff enough Usually in the U.S. I see this in humid times and fuser is to hot. flipping paper over and lowering fuser temp helps.

Suggestion, try to test an A3 paper to bypass or the first tray. If the same problem occures maybe you can try another brand or weight of paper.

Re: Mx2310 A3 internal tray problem

Basically when the a3 is feeding out of the exit section of the machine onto the internal tray, the white roller doesn't seem to flick the rear end of the paper on to the internal tray.

MRI tried it from a different tray still the same.
Same brand paper is used as before and worked fine in the past.

Try adjusting your paper exit motor speed in sim 48-6.

Today the fixing paper holder was replaced that hold the white fixing arm with no effect. Every 3 or 4 copies the a3 is turning over on to the tu12 tray. Ant ideas?

Will that not affect the timing of the sensors when doing multiple prints??
