Re: Katun brand toners?
If you must use non genuine toners, these are the best of a bad bunch.
If you looking to save money, think again.
All aftermarket toners do not achieve the same results in any area and do long term damage to machines.
I have worked for many dealers who have all tried and failed to achieve cost savings with such products. In most cases costs increased in excess service call outs and replacement parts.
Who dares does not always win.
Her endeth my sermon for today -
Re: Katun brand toners?
Unfortunately, I'm forced into using them. Our company has only two techs, and neither of us like using them and swear they do more harm than good in the machines. But, alas, they "save us money"..........
Just wondering if anyone else has noticed an increase in service calls while using them.Comment

Re: Katun brand toners?
My company decided to try Katun in Kyocera machines...we kept track of fusers, drums, and devs we had to replace because of it and showed how much we "saved" with it. Katun was killing 2050/2550 fusers within 20k prints....we'd have to go in and replace the fuser and dev unit to get all the katun out...."In a cruel and evil world, being cynical can allow you to get some entertainment out of it."

It's a pretty easy experiment to prove.Comment

Re: Katun brand toners?
It really depends on the box. With the AR-M 350/355 and MX-M 350 series I've had good luck with Katun, and the off brand no-name Chinese stuff as well. But the bigger AR-M/MX-M 550 no dice, OEM all the way. It's a matter of testing........Comment

Re: Katun brand toners?
In a competitive market place I won't blame the suits for trying to save money with the Katun toners. From what I have read here Katun seems to work out on select machines. Any success with Katun on perhaps B402s, Mx503s, etc?Comment
