Problem on printing after replacing the blade for K

    HI.
I have Sharp MX3500N, yesterday i have been replaced the blade for K and after all was done, print and copy was ok but a little light. today while i started my work, the problem for light printing has been solved but after 10-15 copy, the paper after coming out from the tray stuck before reaching fusing and it was all white. i tried the SIM 44-2, but the first page was ok and second one was white or half printed and third one was stuck again. i tried code 44-6 and 24 as well. 44-6 was completed and 44-26 has error on K.C.M.
if anyone could share with me what exactly happened to drum, that would be highly appreciated. thanks

I have to wonder why you only replaced the drum cleaning blade, there's an entire kit that needs to be changed with the blade as the parts all wear at the same rate.

Your copies are probably light because the developer and drum both need to be changed. Black on that machine has a life of 150k, at which point drum, charge grid, cleaning blade and developer all need to be changed out, and the machine has to be calibrated.

After removing the drum or anything print related, run sim 61-04 and make necessary adjustments to laser K, then do sim 50-22 and adjust your colours. If this still does not resolve your issue, then do a panic stop and see if toner is making it onto the drum surface.

Try to test on the other cassete or in the bypass. Maybe you have a double feeding that's why the other document have a print on the other page and half or totally white at the succeeding. If you replace only the blade it will not affect the feeding as you said the reason you replace the blade is for the lines on copy. You dind't mention if the machine came with the finisher paper pass or with paper deck or no option at all.

As stated above, check to make sure your pages are not double feeding, make sure all of your rollers are clean and operational.

I suggested replacing the other parts of the drum, a dirty charge grid will give you lines as well. Does it happen on b/w copies or colour too?

I agree with Akitu, random lines on your page are usually a sign of a grid (main charger) issue. You can clean it and get some extra life out of them but, if your drum unit was at end of life it is time to replace it.

Let us know what fixed the issue.

Okay then, as I suggested, I would change out the drum charge grid and the drum itself as well.
