    MX-M352N Developer life 46k??

Just curious. I had to replace the developer at only 46,000 copies. (Factory spec says 75K.) What is the experience of others? Thanks!

I do not service any Mx-352N but the newer machine take into consideration rotations. So if they run run alot of single copies or 2 copies at a time this can happen. Seen it on other models pretty often.

This is how Sharp defines what harleyrider wrote more clearly:

      3. Developer/Drum life end definition
      • When the developer/drum counter reaches the specified level.
      • When the developer/drum rpm reaches the specified level.
When either of the above reached the specified level, it is judged as life end.
In an actual case, when correction or warm-up operation is performed as well as output operation, the developer and the drum rotates.
Therefore, the developer/drum consuming level cannot be determined only by the copy/print quantity. When, therefore, the rpm reaches the
specified level, it is judged as life end.
To check the drum and developer life, use TC 22-1/TC22-13

Thanks guys. Yeah, it wasn't that the machine was calling for a developer change, but the customer was complaining about poor black fill. I changed the developer and it brought back the CQ to where it should be.

OK, customer just called back. Anything I should look for? Apparently, the machine ran fine for a few days. Seems to be in an undertone situation. Yes, I did the developer adjustment when I changed it. Thanks in advance guys.

What's the total count on this? The toner sensor will have a toner coating after 2-3 dv changes, and if not cleaned off will throw 25-2 off. Check your WT tank and see if dv is being pulled.
Lastly, it doesn't say to remove toner when calibrating after a dv change in the SM, but it does (indirectly) in the installation manual.

The copier only has 46K on it.
