Rquest Recommendation for New Sharp 20-30cpm for customer

I have,t sold a new machine in a couple of years but have sold a bunch of lease-end machines with low mileage. My customer is ready for a new Sharp. Does about 3k per month and has alway used strictly for copying.

What machines would you recommend in the 20 to 30 copy per minute Sharp line up to 11x17 and duplexing.
How is the MXM264N/M314N series? A new leftover would be okay also if available and recommended. Frank/ActionPhotocopy

The 264N/314N would be an excellent choice. I think this is the forth generation with improvements at each stage. I don't think you or your customers will be disappointed.

The only thing they haven't improved is the cavity size beneath the fuser to access the tray 1 rollers. You would think after reinventing the wheel so many times over they would have corrected that tiny little problem...

Thanks guys. Fortunately the customer is doing low volume so I won't need to be too concerned about the upper feed. The AR-M237 series was a pain in that regard. These manufacturers should have a couple of field technicians standing by when they are designing machines.

As brilliantly suggested elsewhere in these forums, using tray 2 as the main paper tray for 8.5x11 is a genius idea. Why wear out the rollers that are harder to change?

I would recommend a used mxm363, due to a 200k maint cycle, and for me has been a great box. The 363 series will beat a 264/314 easily, plus has a longer maint cycle, better scanning features, and a MX design, more in line with current models. If not, a 264/314, may be a better budget machine. Its way better than its predecessors. IMOHO..

Frank, the OP, said it's for copying 'only', but the MX-M363M would certainly entertain the customer with scanning, and printing if exposed to the capabilities.

Thanks for that additional info. I have had this customer for 14 years and he always used strictly as copier and I don't see him changing but will be prepared if he is ready. Someone else had suggested the MX-M232D because of customers low volume and that the m264N/M314N would be more than needed.
