for the first code customer said they did heavy paper, after I changed fuser. 2nd code the next day customer said it was just plain paper... and that was with the rebuilt fuser.Comment

Re: h4-01 on a mx-m550
not yet, this problem has now turned into a intermitted problem since I last reset the thermostat, and cleared the code. I haven't been called back. But since I haven't fixed anything. its still open to me, might be a case of AM/FMComment

Re: h4-01 on a mx-m550
the code is for low temp, if you have to reset the thermostat, the thermostat is probably faulty(normally when thermostat pops there should an Hxxx error for high temp). have had this issue several times, different fixes though , 1: take washers from thermostat mounting screws and put under thermostat to move it away from heat roller(metal plate that thermo mounts to maybe deformed.) 2: replace heat lamps (especially if they have rings or discoloration) 3: replace thermistors , 4:replace thermostat. from experience I usually do 1,2,and 3 together and the intermittent h4-01 go away.Comment
