Sharp MX-6201N Dropping Cyan and Magenta

I am not to familiar with this model so go easy here, I have attached a copy of what is happening but its an intermittent problem and it was happening when I was on site.
Its happening during jobs where it starts fine then the colour drops out a few pages in.

Any ideas on this guys, the customer is on contract and doesn't want to buy parts when I can't say what it is.

I've cleaned the primary transfer belt colour and black position sensors also all contacts on the drum and developer units. I was think the HV board but then why would the yellow be ok? the three colours seem to be on one circuit? Also checked the primary transfer unit with the belt off and all the transfer rollers seem to be lifting and dropping fine.

    Really stuck on this one.

I'm assuming so the problem is intermittent and hasn't happened while I'm on site. The customer said it was happening in the middle of jobs, ie he was printing 50 booklets with 10 sheets each. The first say 10 booklets where fine the next 5 would have a few sheets of colour loss. Then the last ones would have cyan magenta loss on all pages.

its the way during a job cyan and magenta are fine then go missing and come back before disappearing completely that is confusing me most.

Are they sure it's not dropping yellow too? It is rather hard to see even under ideal circumstances. I would be thinking your laser shutters are not opening.

What happens is the solenoid that drives the laser shutters becomes clogged with dust/toner/whatever and then has trouble opening all the way leading to losses such as you're experiencing.

The yellow always seems ok. I replaced the solenoid today it was very dirty in around it so fingers crossed it works ok.

The colour laser flap solenoid seems to have cured it. As I havent heard from the customer since.

                Thanks for the help
