I have a Sharp MX-C401 with a MX-FN12 finisher that jams every duplex at the finisher rollers after printing one side. It will duplex fine with the finisher removed. Replaced both POD1 and POD2 in duplex without effect. I'm thinking the sensor in the finisher might be bad but can't find where this sensor is involved with duplexing or understand why one sided copying works with the finisher if this sensor is bad. Also, if it is the sensor in the finisher, I could use the part number. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Re: MX-C401 duplex jams
is this a new install or a machine in service awhile?
If new make sure the finisher plate guide is installed correctly as there is a sensor there that tells it when it exits the machine and goes into the finisher, Ill check my book in the morning and post the actual diagram.Comment
