mx m350 locks up on print jobs or keeps rebooting.

Have several MX-M350'S at a few locations same company that when printing from a section 8 web site copier will keep rebooting until the que is cleared, anyone else seen this? Or know the fix? Thanks in advance.

Look at some of the threads for the AR-M455 doing similar things such as this one: http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/sh...ight=print+job Since the MX-M350 evolved from the AR-M455, the solution may be common.

If it is a pdf that they are printing you could have them try print as image under the advanced tab.

As with most things "section 8", it simply does not want to work.....I couldn't resist.

Not sure on older models, but SIM 67-17 will dump all data from the printer memory. Have seen this resolve several printing issues.
You can try the "print as image" as suggested above (PS only) or download the .pdf as opposed to printing from the website. You could also try using a different browser; Firefox is all I use.

Same fix as always with this problem, a little searching would have revealed the answer several times over.

This is corrected by a firmware update on this machine. If you have base level 1.00 firmware you'll need to figure out a way to update it, for myself it wound up being that I had to order v2 flash ROMs from Sharp before I could do a USB upgrade with sim 49-1. Firmware updates on this machine are fickle in that they require a flash drive no larger than 2 GB (can get around this by partitioning anything larger down to 2GB and leaving the remaining space unallocated) and must be formatted in FAT16. FAT32 was too new for this machine to be able to read.

After firmware is updated, find the offending print job stuck in the queue of whoever tried to print to it last and delete it, machine will stop rebooting.
